He cannot sleep, concentrate on some of his school work, but when i see him he seems fine, he says it is because when i am around he is happy. What should i do to help him? Allowing someone to grieve is tricky, despite what your intentions are, the person who are trying to support needs room to think it all through. They need to identify what they need help with and then feel safe asking for it. Your role as a friend, partner is to be a good listener, give him space and support and allow him time to feel what he feels.
